Accreditation: St. Charles School is accredited through the MIchigan Association of Non-Public Schools.

Curriculum: 

Preschool students experience a play-based curriculum that develops language, physical, social, emotion, spiritual, and cognitive skills, as well as age-appropriate lessons in art, music, science, mathematics, literature, and dramatic play. The following learning resources are also included in our preschool curriculum:

  • Zoo-phonics Phonemic Development (letter sounds)
  • Learning Without Tears (pre-handwriting strategies)
  • Zaner-Blaser Reading Readiness Program
  • STEAM opportunities

Kindergarten-8th grade students work through the rigorous and relevant curriculum framework used by all Catholic schools in the Diocese of Grand Rapids. This curriculum focuses on assisting parents in fulling forming each child mind, body and soul. The curriculum has three parts: encounter, grow and witness. Students are provided daily opportunities to encounter Jesus Christ, grow in their understanding of His teaching infused in all subject areas and are empowered to witness God’s love to the world. Students: 100 students preschool through 8th grade as young as 3 years old (40% of students are not Catholic)

Average Class Size:  16 students

Campus: 1 full city block is the site of St. Charles School with a two-story complex including 9 classrooms, library, gym, music room, lunch room, church, outdoor STEM classroom and playground.

Daily Schedule: School starts at 7:25 a.m. and ends at 2:15 p.m.. School doors open at 7 a.m. and after school care is available until 5:30 p.m..

Tuition: 

Preschool: We offer 5 days of preschool for both 3 and 4 year olds each week.  Preschool will be in the morning with the option of daycare in the afternoon. Parents may customize their child’s preschool and daycare schedule from 1 to 5  days each week. The price for five days a week (below) is prorated when customizing.

M-F Half Day Daycare:              $1,870.00
