Funeral Luncheons

After a funeral at St. Charles and St. Joseph-St. Mary, we offer a luncheon to the bereaved family and friends.  As you can imagine, the ability to help at short notice is essential.  Our volunteer set up is as follows:

St. Charles

FOOD DONATIONS:  If you are willing to provide an occasional side dish, salad, casserole, or dessert on short notice, we would love to hear from you!  Just call one of the contacts listed below.  They, in turn, will call you when the need arises.

SET-UP AND SERVER: We have three groups who serve on a rotational basis. Volunteers typically work from 8:00 or 9:00 a.m. through 3:00 or 5:00 p.m. Jobs include set-up, making coffee and tea, preparing a buffet table, slicing meat, cutting cakes, setting out contributed food, and cleaning up after the luncheon. The funeral luncheon committee is responsible for setting-up the luncheon room, making coffee and tea, preparing a buffet table, slicing meat, cutting cakes, setting out contributed food, and cleaning up.  If you would like to join us, please call the contact listed below.
